NAH M8: Despite Reports ‘Love Island’ Winners Grant & Tayla Are Still Together
There’s been a rumour floating about today regarding the winning couple of Love Island Australia, and we’re here to say calm down y’all. Tayla and Grant are still together.
The reports followed a comment Tayla made about finding out Grant was seeing someone before he met her. In an interview this morning that is being largely misconstrued, Tayla told The Kyle and Jackie O Show:
“Obviously coming out and finding out that information, it was a big shock to the system and it was like, well, ‘Do you actually love me?’,” she said.
“We’re trying to rebuild the trust, so that’s where we’re at right now.”
But this doesn’t mean they’re breaking up. Also it’s important to note that we interviewed Tayla and Grant when they won Love Island, and they both spoke about the fact Grant was seeing someone before entering the villa.
What is news to us is that following the finale, Tayla tried to contact Grant’s ex but was rejected.
“I came out, I found out this information and in my head I was like, ‘I actually feel sorry for this girl first of all and that’s something I should take upon myself to reach out to her.’ She didn’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, I totally understand that.”
Since the Love Island finale, Tayla and Grant returned to their home towns of Perth and Canberra but have recently reunited in Sydney.
The two look super cute and last we heard the couple plan to move in together in the near future.
