Clear your schedule for 2019, ‘cos all your trashy reality TV faves will be returning, as confirmed by Channel Nine today.

The biggest question mark in the air was whether Love Island would be coming back for a second season, and we can now confirm that it definitely will be as revealed at Channel Nine’s Upfronts earlier today.

It appears they expect great things from the next season as it’s moving the network’s major channel.

“We believe Love Island will be our next breakout success and are moving Love Island from 9 Go to Channel 9 in primetime,” said Nine’s Lizzie Young.

Along with Love Island, another source of absolute trash will be back: Married at First Sight. The series is now up to its sixth season and was a massive ratings success early in 2018 (thank you Davina and Dean) so no one is surprised it will return in 2019.

Let’s hope they find couples as thoroughly messed up as this year. A girl can dream.

A new series that is starting in 2019 that actually sounds bananas is Lego Masters, and it’ll be hosted by radio bae Hamish Blake. Already a popular series in the UK, the Australian adaption will see “8 very different couples from all walks of life to battle each other in TV’s biggest new comp.”

Here’s Hamish introducing himself.

Yes, that is Hamish inside a giant inflated Lego suit. We don’t need to hear more. We’re already sold.

We personally are extremely hyped for a new year of reality trash. Bring it!
