The Best Reactions To *That* Controversial ‘Love Island UK’ Finale
Love Island UK has wrapped up for another year, with Season 10 bringing us some truly *chef’s kiss* moments of drama – which has become our bare minimum expectation when you chuck a whole bunch of beautiful people on a luxurious island in Spain.
The couples who made it to the finale certainly went ~through it~, apart from our personal faves Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki (who we must protect at ALL costs). We’re actually still in shock after finding out who the public voted to win, and it looks like we’re not the only ones.

Sammy Root and Jess Harding ended up winning the reality show, taking away a cool £50,000 prize. Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki came second (BOO), with Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde trailing behind in third, and Molly Marsh and Zach Noble in fourth place.
While Sammy and Jess made for some damn good TV, we don’t think they’re the epitome of true love. ICYMI, the pair had to split due to viewer votes, and Jess didn’t know if she could trust Sammy to stay faithful. Surprise, surprise, she was right.
Sammy kissed both Gabby AND Amber, but still managed to end the show in a committed relo with Jess. Plus, we can’t forget Sammy’s quote of the season: “I was Jess’ type, she wasn’t mine”. Ugh.

Tyrique and Ella were one of the original couples in the villa, and their relo was just as rocky, but somehow, we kinda buy into their love a lil more? Ty came onto the island without ever having a proper relationship, so he started eyeing up other options despite having a good thing with Ella. Ella wasn’t sure she could trust him, and she ended up recoupling with Ouzy, until she found her way back to Ty.
Twitter (or, do we call it X now? We’re still confused) has exploded with memes about the show, with many believing that Whitney and Lochan should’ve been crowned winners, with Ty and Ella snagging second place.
