PSA: ‘Love Island UK’ Is Returning Tonight So Alert The Group Chat
Can I grab you for a chat? It’s time to get muggy because a brand new season of Love Island UK is coming — and the madness begins tonight!
The iconic reality TV dating show is making a return for its ninth season, and it’s dropping at a perfect time, especially if you’re missing last year’s season of Love Island Australia, which ended in late December (congrats to Claudia and Austen for winning).
But with a new year beginning, it’s time for a new season and a new cast for the Love Island universe.

For those of you who have never watched Love Island, the show follows a bunch of singles who are on the hunt for true love in a villa. Throughout the course of the show, the singles couple up with who they’re most compatible with, but new singles (aka bombshells) enter the game throughout the season, which can lead to problems among already established couples.
While trying to find love, contestants are handed a bunch of challenges, and every few episodes someone (or a couple) will be evicted from the villa. Contestants can be voted off the island by their fellow contestants or by the Love Island viewers, and sometimes contestants are evicted for being single, which is relatable AF.
At the end of the show, the winning couple will not only receive reality TV fame (well, sometimes), but they will also win some sweet, sweet moolah.
For this year’s winter season of Love Island UK, the villa will be rocked with a new twist that allows Love Island viewers to vote for which bombshell drops into the villa.
The Season 9 cast are: Anna-May (20), TV salesman Haris (21), science and PE teacher Kai (24), makeup artist Lana (25), ring girl and actress Olivia (27), financial advisor Ron (25), airport security officer Shaq (24), student and influencer Tanya (22), hair stylist Tanyel (26), and farmer Will (23).
Unfortunately, farmer Will is not that farmer Will from Farmer Wants A Wife… but can you imagine?

This season will also be introducing us to Maya Jama, the newest host of Love Island, who is replacing Laura Whitmore who departed the series in 2022.
