‘Love On The Spectrum’ Is The New Dating Show We Should All Be Watching
There’s no denying Aussies love a good dating show and ABC’s four-part series Love on the Spectrum is an important new dating series we should all be tuning into. In good news, the show which was hugely popular late last year is now available to stream on Netflix.
The show follows seven young singles and draws on relationship coaching to give insight into what forming a romantic relationship looks like for those on the spectrum, in order to shift the public perception of ASD.
If you've had a shithouse day, tune in right now: this is the damn loveliest TV. #LOTSAU https://t.co/iuD52tNr64

In the first episode, we met Thomas and Ruth, a loved-up couple who celebrated their engagement by going on a date that Ruth joked looked straight out of The Bachelor.
The couple, who have been together for four years, are clearly very in love and quick to joke around and poke fun at each other, with Ruth asking which Bachelor stereotype she’d fall under.
Hi guys, if you’re interested in Ruth from #LOTSAU I’m her 🙂
I tweet about being deaf and autistic, the uncalled-for sass from my cat, and my sweet little noodle. #LoveontheSpectrum #ActuallyAutistic #Deaf— Ruthie ??? (@AutismAnecdotes) November 19, 2019
The first episode also introduced us to Michael as he received advice from relationship coach Jodi Rogers before going on his first date, cheered on by his loving family. He described himself as a “complete romantic,” and at 25, feels like he’s ready to throw everything into maintaining a loving relationship.
Meanwhile 19-year-old Chloe gives us an insight into what it’s like to date both men and women as a deaf woman on the spectrum, and it’s just incredibly wholesome watching her excitement after a successful date with a woman named Lotus.
