Lush Launches Transgender Visibility Campaign & Limited Edition Bath Melt
Ahead of Transgender Awareness Week, Lush is launching a #TransRightsNow campaign to raise $25k for organisations fighting for visibility and rights for transgender people through the launch of a limited edition Inner Truth Bath Melt.
Kicking off today, you can find the cute heart-shaped bath melts at Lush stores across Australia. The blue and pink melts can be purchased for $8.95 and 100% of the purchase price (minus taxes) will go directly to campaign partners, Minus18 and Transcend.
Along with the bath bombs raising much needed funds, the beauty company will be distributing more than 14,500 resource booklets on ‘How to be a trans ally’ in its stores.
A Trans Pathways survey from last year found that almost 80% of transgender people aged 14-25 years had self-harmed, and 48% had attempted suicide. Young trans people are 10 times more likely to suffer from anxiety or depression.
