Bigger houses. Bigger deals. Bigger drama.

Luxe Listings Sydney is back once again to give you an inside look into Sydney’s most lush properties and the lives of some of the world’s best luxury real estate agents. The show first hit the reality TV radar back in 2021, introducing us to real estate agents Gavin Rubinstein, D’Leanne Lewis, and buyer’s agent Simon Cohen. Earlier this year, Luxe Listings Sydney returned for Season 2, introducing us to the eccentric Monika Tu.

Luckily for fans of the show, Season 3 is around the corner with all four stars returning for the drama and the competition. You can expect to see Gavin, D’Leanne, Monika, and Simon battle it out to find the perfect houses for their clientele. One of the major plot points looks to be Gavin and Simon’s race to find Delta Goodrem a brand new place to record an album.

Judging by the trailer, you just know this season is going to be packed to the brim with spicy moments, laughs, and moments that’ll have you questioning your bank account because some of these properties are mind-blowing.

We had a cheeky spill sesh with some of the cast from the show, and we spoke about all things real estate, reality TV, and everything to expect from Season 3.

So without further ado, here’s all the tea spilled by Gavin, Monika, and Simon from Luxe Listings Sydney:

What is something fans can expect from Season 3?

Monika: “I think it’s more properties, some more luxury, and more dramas… I just love to watch drama because I think I’m old enough not to be involved. It’s really good to see how competitive people are, some of the egos in the room, and so I really enjoyed it. My drama is pretty much around myself. Like bags, shoes, houses… and outfits!”

Gavin: “I think the best houses, the most deals, and a real in-depth look into what I think is really the representation of my day-to-day. You see me recruiting salespeople, you see me listing and selling, you see me training salespeople on how to sell better, and then you see me acquiring the new office… I like it a lot. It’s actually my favourite [season] of all three.”

Simon: “I think it’s the best season. The four of us have gotten far more comfortable as seasons go on having cameras around us, and so you get a lot more of the real-life reactions and a lot more of the relaxed drama. There’s beautiful houses, there’s much more competition. There’s definitely some drama between Gavin and I, and Delta Goodrem, there’s an engagement party…stay tuned for some juiciness.”

One of the things that I enjoy is the friendship between Gavin and Simon, and how they’re able to stay friends while being involved in a cutthroat business. What is it like and how do you maintain that relationship?

Gavin:  “We always had a good relationship before the show, but if anything the show brought us closer. We did a deal last night for $13.5 million, we did a deal three weeks ago, for around $12 million, we did a deal three months ago for $17.5 million… I think, and as a result of the show, we are doing a lot more transactions because we’ve become closer. Sometimes it’ll get hairy, and sometimes we will butt heads but we both just respect that we each have a job to do.”

Simon: “It’s actually really funny. On Saturday night, I was at a wedding with Gavin and we were dancing and hugging and best friends. And then last night at like 10:30pm Gavin and I were doing a deal, which we did for $13.5 million, and I’m like shouting at Gavin. He’s like, what’s going on? Last night? We were best friends. And I’m like, tonight you’re annoying me. I’m trying to buy this house from you. So we navigate through it quite well.”

What was your biggest challenge of filming Season 3?

Monika: “It was very much the time because every one of us is so busy and real estate is really time… And for me, it’s my Chinglish.”

Gavin: “I didn’t feel that there were many challenges. Season 2, we were kinda working within restrictions with COVID, and regulations and all that sort of stuff and by Season 3 it had really started to ease. So it went a hell of a lot smoother.”

Simon: “I think just time, you know, fitting everything in. Earlier on we had to film during COVID. I think Prime Video did an amazing job of being able to do that. But just time and you know, having cameras around you in public and just getting used to that.”

Looking back at previous seasons, would you change anything?

Monika: “I wish I could be a little bit skinnier, to be honest! And I wish I can request the crew members you know the cameraman to put a filter!”

Simon: “You know what, the show portrayed me whether that was good, bad, or ugly. And I guess going into this, that’s all I wanted. So no. It is what it is. And I am who I am. I’m happy with how it turned out.”

Being on Luxe Listings Sydney, have you learned anything about yourself?

Monika: “Yeah, I think a lot. I didn’t realise I can be a celebrity. I actually quite enjoy it!… It’s such a new world to me, to be recognised by people, from different angles. So before you’re a real estate agent, it’s a cutthroat business. [People think] you’ve probably been arrogant, but we’re not, right? We’re just such a hard working people. And people will meet me [and say] ‘Monika actually, you’re normal.’ And, so I’m like ‘what are you talking about? Of course.’,” she said.

“It puts the charity into the show, it shows another side of us as a human as well.”

Gavin: “I feel like I learn every day, and so for me, it was just a challenge. Because when I made the decision to say, ‘Hey, I’m going to do this filming full-time,’ the deal I made with myself is that my work can’t fall, you know, my standard of work can’t fall… I can’t go backwards. So if anything, I’m doing the show and was committed to the show in order to take my work forwards. So the challenge was just managing that workload of everything I do on a daily basis, plus then filming a TV show full-time. And I guess through that, I built even more confidence — there’s really nothing in terms of workload that I can’t deal with accordingly.”

Simon: “Have I learned anything about myself? No, I value my privacy.”

So does Delta Goodrem find a house?

Gavin: “Watch Season 3 to find out. She was awesome to work with. I’m a big fan. There were definitely a couple of pinch-me moment but it was a cool process to go through.”

Simon: “You’re gonna have to tune in for that… I don’t know if I’m unhappy or happy with the outcome.”
