No, you’re not reading it wrong – The Eiffel Tower now features a luxury apartment.

In what would have to be considered the best location for an apartment in Paris, rental company HomeAway have built a stunning 2,000 square-foot, two-bedroom apartment right in the heart of the famous french city. That is, in the belly of the Eiffel Tower itself.

They’ll be letting guests crash in the lavish pad where they’ll be able to kick back, pop some bubbly and soak in unparalleled views of the town.

It took the group just 48 hours to transform one of the structures unused conference rooms, situated 187 feet above ground level,  in to the new furnished apartment layout.

With interior designs completed by world-renowned Frenchman, Benoit Leleu, the incredible pad was created to celebrate the Euro 2016 Football Championships, which kicked-off in France last week.

Despite the unique nature of the pad, when the Eiffel Tower opened in Paris in 1889, it was discovered that the designer, Gustave Eiffel, had actually included his own private apartment near the top of the tower.

HomeAway ran a competition for a chance to stay in the apartment for free. Inevitably, over 150,000 entered for their chance and four lucky winners were recently chosen… fair to say we’re pretty jealous!

As expected, the apartment features sweeping views across Paris, ticking off all the major landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe and Sacre Coeur.
