ICYMI, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox recently got engaged and celebrated the way all couples do: by, uh, drinking each other’s blood.

The pop-punk pairing have been dating since 2020 and have captivated people with their romance, open PDA, and loved-up quotes about each other.

That’s not to say things haven’t gotten extremely weird.

The pair gave an infamous interview with GQ about the time they first met at a Hollywood party and one of the quotes will live in our heads rent-free forever.

“This weird thing happened,” Fox said in the interview. “We didn’t see each other. I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed.’ He looked down at me and he was like, ‘I am weed.’ Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb.”

Last week, the pair announced they were engaged in typical, nonsensical fashion.

In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time,” Fox captioned her Instagram post.

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him… and then we drank each other’s blood.”

Okie doakie, then!

So it should now come as no surprise that Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, has given an interview about the engagement and said some absolutely cooked things, once again.

The couple sat down with Vogue, and when asked about the engagement ring, MGK had this to say:

“It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine. And the diamond was directly from Stephen. The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…”

When the interviewer gave a “That’s very nice in response,” MGK replied with, “Love is pain!”

Of course, the statement has been met with some raised eyebrows on the internet.

Well, we really do hope there is a way to take the ring off from time to time that doesn’t cause pain…
