Of all the things that could’ve happened after Madelaine Brockway’s $59 million wedding, her brand new husband going to prison for 25 years is not what I expected.

I figured there’d be an uptick in followers, brand deals and overnight fame… but after learning this new info, I’m gonna need a biopic about their life immediately

Let me get you up to speed. Madelaine Brockway, the daughter of a car dealership tycoon, recently married Jacob LaGrone. Their Parisian wedding went nuts on TikTok, with a Bachelorette week, a Maroon 5 performance, about a billion dollars spent on flowers, fireworks at the Eiffel Tower and more. Their luxury wedding planning service, HMR Designs, revealed that they spent three months building the area for the “wedding of the century”.

But now, there are some less-than-flattering reports involving Jacob’s past. He allegedly shot three police officers on March 14 in Westworth Village Texas. Yep, Madelaine’s Prince Charming seems like he could be more of the villain in their fairytale.

Jacob recently attended a hearing in Tarrant County Courthouse, Fort Worth, due to the alleged incident.

According to the police officers, they headed to the location in Texas after multiple people reported hearing a firearm used inside a home.

When the cops arrived, they alleged that “they were fired upon” by Jacob, saying he “intentionally and knowingly threaten[ed] imminent bodily injury.”

It’s not looking peachy for the newlyweds. If convicted, Jacob could face a hefty prison sentence ranging from five to 99 years. According to the Tarrant County district attorney’s office, he’s been offered a plea bargain deal of 25 years in prison.

Has Madelaine Brockway addressed her husband’s court case?

Madelaine didn’t attend the court hearing and has since made her Instagram account private. She’s also deleted her TikTok account, so it seems like she’s regretting her viral internet fame.

When The Washington Post asked the Tarrant County district attorney’s office for comment, a spokesperson declined.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped people from taking shots at the truly bizarre turn of events.

I am now fully invested in the drama, so I’m praying that Madelaine will reappear on socials. Imagine if she did a GRWM telling their full story? Iconic.
