Ella Ding From ‘MAFS’ Is Headed Back To Reality TV
It’s official, MAFS’ Ella Ding is returning to Aussie screens for the newest season of Love Triangle. She’s defs been bitten by the reality TV bug, having appeared on Made In Chelsea after MAFS, so it would make sense that she’d give another dating show a go.
But her dating days are over (she’s loved-up with boyf Guy Palermo if you didn’t know), so for this reality TV stint she’s been given the role of host on Love Triangle. This is kinda a big deal, because one of our fave reality TV stars Abbie Chatfield didn’t get her first big hosting role until this year on FBOY Island.
If you don’t know what Love Triangle is about, it’s similar to Love is Blind, where singles attempt to date each other – without seeing what they look like. After a few days of getting to know each other, the new couples move into an apartment together. And the plot twist is that a third person is introduced later on to test their relationship strength and present a big ol’ dilemma.
Yep, it’s the perfect situ for endless drama and messy fights.
In the latest promo for Love Triangle, which will hit screens on October 6, Ella teases that there will be “steamy secrets, sexier singles and shocking scandals”. Her voiceover is smooth and natural, so I’m guessing she’s gonna hit her role as the host and narrator out of the park.

Ella opens up about her role on Love Triangle.
Ella tells Punkee that she’s ecstatic to be part of a new reality show but from a “new angle”.
“I feel very honoured that Channel 9 and Stan wanted to have me be a part of it in such a personal way. It really does feel personal being through the experience on MAFS to find love – and being single for over a decade to now finding love,” she says.
The star believes she’s the perfect match for the show, because she knows exactly what the “fresh-faced cast” have been through, and knows what pressures they will face after the show airs.
“I feel it’s a super special opportunity… In terms of my MAFS costars [supporting me], my true friends were only [a] very small [group], and those have definitely been supportive and thrilled for me,” she adds.
Ella’s MAFS friends show their support for her new role.
Ella’s BFF and business partner, Domenica Calarco, shared a snap of Ella’s new role on Instagram. “MY GIRL!!!!!!” she wrote, before adding “SO PROUD!!!!!!” on Stan’s announcement.
She wasn’t the only MAFS contestant to share the love, with Tahnee Cook writing, “This looks sooooo good! Can’t wait to watch.”
“Actually looks so good, popcorn ready! Also, born to be a narrator. This was cool,” Melinda Willis commented.
“Can’t wait to watch! Maybe I should give this one a crack. Wishing them luck and love,” Sandy Jawanda added.
This is gonna fill the gap that MAFS left and I’ve never been more ready. Bring on October 6.
