MAFS GOSS: Cheryl Debuts New Boyfriend As Anthony Goes Into Hiding Over Haters
As ‘Married at First Sight’ draws ever nearer to wrapping up, we are started to learn what has happened to the contestants that have come and gone. Cheryl was by far the series’ standout, with the ballsy Scottish lass drawing a killer fanbase throughout her time on the show.
Despite starting the reality dating program with Jonathan, then doing a switcharoo over to Andrew (a.k.a Jonesy), it looks like Cheryl has found love with a totally different dude.
Posting to her Instagram on Sunday, Cheryl let out of the bag that she has a boyfriend after all. The post is notably hashtagged with #thanksgodhedidntpullouthisguitar, which is an obvious dig at ol’ Jonesy, and a flashback to their excruciating date – which ended in an almighty kiss rejection.
The pair look adorbs together, enjoying a picnic. However, throwing a spanner in the works, it has now been revealed (via The Daily Telegraph, so make with that what you will) that Cheryl’s new bae is a convicted drug trafficker.
Confidential has disclosed that Cheryl’s new man Dean Gibbs is a former police officer, who was suspended and sentenced to 12 months jail in 2014 for trafficking cocaine.
Cheryl clearly likes a man in uniform, going from firey Jonesy to a policeman, but these days Dean works as a plumber.
In more post-MAFS goss, since Sunday and Monday night’s eps, it appears Anthony has been forced into hiding. After his continued belittling of ‘wife’ Nadia, along with his bullying of Cheryl at that dinner from hell, he has become the show’s biggest villain.
Twitter has zero time for him, and the comments about the race-caller are pretty brutal.
Anthony always saw this as a game. Now that he thinks he has 'won', he is dropping Nadia. Such a psycho. #9Married #MarriedAtFirstSight

The series’ nice guy Sean told news.com.au that Anthony has been laying low and avoiding going out in public, since the series has wrapped-up.
“He doesn’t go out much. He just does his work and goes to the gym and that’s about it because there’s a lot of Australia who don’t like him,” said Sean.
“He’s just waiting until it’s all finished and for it to die down so he can just go and do some stuff because it’s very difficult for him.”
Sean even added that Anthony is being attacked at his place of work for his behavior on the reality program.
“When he goes to his (horse) racing, he’s walking in and the drunk people are having a dig at him … he’s having a very negative experience out of it.”
Defending the ‘horseman’, Sean said that the series’ villain was not given a fair edit, and there was more to Anthony than what viewers saw.
“Everything he did say, yes, that is what was said. But they can edit things too, from one week to the last week — you can join those together to make something out of that,” he said.
“He was very caring. He would genuinely pull the chair out for Nadia to sit down. He would get her dinner. He would pour her drink. He always told her how beautiful and how gorgeous she looked.
It’s hard because that didn’t come across and he feels bad for it.”
