As we continue to party away the day, after Australia voted a resounding ‘hell yes!’ to marriage equality in the postal plebiscite, one of its biggest campaigners, and just all ’round legend, Magda Szubanski is relishing in the good vibes — and she bloody deserves it.

After coming out in 2012, Magda has been one of the most vocal advocates for marriage equality in Australia, making countless TV appearances and attending equality rallies, all of which must have been incredibly taxing for her.

After this morning’s good news was broadcast at a Yes rally in Prince Alfred Park in Sydney, Szubanski (along with a helluva lot of other party people) broke out into a happy dance.

HELL YES.

Magda should be insanely proud of what she and the Yes camp achieved. She chose to dance it out to queer anthem ‘We Are Family’, of course.

She didn’t stop there, even trying out an Irish jig. Well if Micheal Flatley can, why not Sharon Strzelecki?

Writer Bec Shaw even filmed Magda leading the party in a dance circle. She is dancing like nobody is watching and it just makes me soo happy. SHE DESERVES IT. You do you, Magda.
