Making A Murderer Is Returning, But Probably Without Dreamy Lawyers Dean Strange & Jerry Buting

Don’t get strange, but Netflix have confirmed that the insanely successful docu-series ‘Making a Murderer’ will return to the streaming service for an unspecified amount of eps. Eyyy!

The completely addictive show was a cultural phenomenon, following the conviction of Steven Avery and nephew Brendan Dassey for the murder of Teresa Halbach. However, since the series streamed, the way the program skewed the story in the favour of Avery became a common critique.

Directors and creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos have already started production on the additional episodes and said in a statement.

“We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response to, and support of, the series. The viewers’ interest and attention has ensured that the story is not over, and we are fully committed to continuing to document events as they unfold”

Hopes are high that season 2 will tell a more rounded narrative, and cover some of the arguments that attempt to prove that Avery was in fact guilty. But what we do know is that the new season will include interviews with Avery’s new lawyer, Kathleen Zellner and Dassey’s legal team, led by Laura Nirider and Steve Drizin.

Does this mean our fave sexy-law-squad Dean Strang and Jerry Buting will not be coming back? Say it isn’t so! We will have to wait and see. In the meantime, the rockstar lawyers will be heading Down-under on a speaking tour in November.
