Josh & Cathy From ‘MAFS’ Have Warned That This Season Is Uglier Than The Last
It’s hard to imagine a season of Married at First Sight being messier than the 2019 version. I mean, think about it: 2019 brought Jessika Power, Cyclone Cyrell, Ines Basic and some douchelord named Sam whose last name I’ve erased from my memory. There was cheating, wine-throwing, constant swearing (in front of the food!) and I am still shook by the fact 40-something-year-old Mark only owned two cups.
God, it was a lot, and tbh we’re still trying to process and move on from it many parts of it. (Billy, WHY did you lie about the Splenda?!)
Moving on, the 2020 season of Married at First Sight premiered last night and we watched Cathy and Josh tie the knot. For now, it’s very sweet and wholesome. They seem like a good match! But it’s MAFS, so we know things won’t be smooth sailing from here on out. Hell, even Cam cried from the pressure of the experiment last year and he and Jules are still in love to this day.
Cathy and Josh appeared on Fitzy & Wippa this morning to chat about their wedding and drop subtle hints about whether they’re still together or not (according to Fitzy, Cathy was grooming Josh before the interview so is that a good sign? Or is she just a good person who couldn’t let him having something stuck in his hair?).
What was ALSO mentioned in the interview was the two agreeing that this season would definitely get ugly and be just as dramatic, if not more so than the last season. “It’s a circus,” Cathy said. While they didn’t elaborate much, they both agreed Martha’s infamous wine throw at Cyrell was nothing compared to what’s coming…
Given the rumours that are already leaking – the whole toothbrush and toilet scandal for one – we believe it. And we’re somewhere between terrified and desperate to watch it all unfold.
