Filming For MAFS 2021 Is Underway & Apparently This Is The First Groom
Daily Mail has reported that filming for the 2021 season of Married At First Sight is underway, and also dropped the name of the (alleged) first groom.
The article stated that radio presenter Bryce Ruthven has relocated to Sydney from Canberra to film MAFS over the next three months, after breaking up with his longterm partner earlier this year.
It was also reported that Bryce has been interacting on social media with former MAFS contestants, and recently locked down his Instagram which is a prerequisite when filming the show. It should be noted, however, that it was only on September 16 that Channel 9 announced the return of MAFS with applications said to still be open, which could suggest filming the weddings hasn’t officially kicked off yet.
Bryce didn’t confirm nor deny to Daily Mail, so we’re in for a wait to see if the rumours really are true or perhaps it’s all just an elaborate scheme from the radio station to fool Australia! Who knows.
The series copped a lot of criticism after the 2020 season, and Nine has promised that the upcoming 2021 season will be “genuine” and about “love not fame.”
Only one couple lasted from the 2020 series, with Lizzie Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus still together.
