Meet The 2022 ‘Married At First Sight’ Brides & Grooms

Get the bubbly ready. Start curating a spread of soft cheeses and overpriced cured meats. And clear your schedule for the foreseeable future. That’s right, Married at First Sight is almost here and the cast of brides and grooms has just dropped.

It’s time to get to know the contestants whose lives will soon occupy your mind 24/7, and the diversity on show this year is staggering. We have a makeup artist AND a beautician, we have two white men from the East Coast that are both financial planners, and we have two white men that are both personal trainers. That’s what we call range!

The line-up so far features eight brides and eight grooms, which is noticeably less than previous years so don’t be surprised if a few intruder couples are dropped in halfway through the season.

Meet the 2022 brides and grooms for Married at First Sight:

Bio highlight: Olivia gave up on dating when she became a carer for her terminally ill father, and in the years since has spent her Saturday nights at home knitting and watching movies (which sounds fun??). Olivia is a romantic at heart and ready to meet someone who will love her back. We stan Olivia, she deserves the world.

Bio highlight: Ella is “hot and edgy” and hasn’t been in a relationship for nine years. This tattoo-loving and unapologetic firecracker is looking for strong sexual connection and lists someone who is close-minded and lazy as huge turn-offs.

Bio highlight: This feisty and previously married and now divorced Italian is sure to stir up some drama this season. Dom is not afraid of confrontation and will make sure her voice is the loudest. Errr, swell!

Bio highlight: Samantha is looking for an older man who is ambitious, confident and self-sufficient, but above all loyal. She has previously been burnt in a relationship, after her partner of four years cheated on her — leaving her with trust issues.

Bio highlight: This single mum is sure to be a favourite. Selin comes from a close-knit Turkish family and is looking for a “good man” who is honest, faithful, and ready to be on her and her son’s team. Selin’s MAFS wedding will be her first date in three years — so let that sink in!

Holly, 36, NSW

Bio highlight: Holly is ready to become a mother but is only missing one tiny detail: the father. Worried that her biological clock is running out, she is keen to start a family asap and is looking for someone to join her on her path.

Bio highlight: Selina is half-Cambodian and half-Chinese and says she became the “black sheep” of the family when she decided to become a hairdresser, rather than a doctor or lawyer. She jokes that she’s the “worst Asian in the world”, as she can’t even use chopsticks.

Bio highlight: If there’s conflict going down this season, we reckon Tamara will be right in the thick of it. She describes herself as an outspoken and self-assured “alpha” personality, who will tell anyone what she thinks of them, whether they’ve asked for her opinion or not. She sounds delightful!

Bio highlight: On the opposite end of the spectrum, Jack is non-confrontational and often the peacemaker during arguments. While during the week he works in finance, Jack described himself as a hipster at heart as he loves music and adventure.

Bio highlight: This Northern Beaches boy loves spending time at the beach — what a plot twist! He’s also a man who is uncomfortable with PDA to the point where even holding hands is something Cody struggles to do. A straight man with intimacy issues? Imagine that!

Bio highlight: Influencer Brent joins MAFS after spending seven years living a life of luxury in Dubai running a successful events management company. His work came crashing down when COVID hit, prompting his return to Australia. After reassessing his priorities, he is ready to meet a special someone, but she must be a natural beauty with, umm… well-maintained feet.

Bio highlight: Andrew hails from Texas and has been divorced twice. He moved to Australia two years ago with his second wife, and he’s ready to find his third! Watch out!

Bio highlight: Mitch has never spent more than two consecutive nights with a woman in his life — he’s clearly very prepared for marriage.

Bio highlight: Al is 25, still lives at home and has never had a serious relationship. Al’s mum still does all his washing, cleaning and cooking. Form an orderly queue, ladies.

Bio highlight: After protecting his family from his violent step-father in previous years, Jackson developed a deep respect for women and is looking for a relationship he can nurture.

Bio highlight: When this father-of-one is not working his sales job, Anthony is in the ring as the semi-pro wrestler named Tommy Hellfire. Anthony is looking for someone to match his zest for life, and to be his “Morticia to my Gomez”. Spooky!
