People Are Disgusted After Tonight’s Episode Of ‘Married At First Sight’
By now we all know what to expect from Married At First Sight: some bad matchmaking, hopefully one cute couple who may make things work, and a cheating scandal. But tonight’s episode brought on a whole new level of petty and we’re all still recovering tbh.
With tensions high after it was revealed Michael and Hayley got drunk and kissed, the dinner party was an absolute mess of people fighting, people crying (including me), and an even uglier truth was revealed in all the chaos.
After David found out about Hayley and Michael’s pash, he decided to seek revenge on his “wife” by scrubbing the toilet with her toothbrush. He filmed the whole thing and it was Mishel who then told Hayley about what happened – so Hayley came to the dinner equipped with the toothbrush and a video of David doing the whole disgusting deed.
When confronted by his foul act, David was completely unapologetic. “My mate’s done worse to me, do you know why? Because [with] practical jokes, there is no limit,” he said as a way to defend himself.
The other couples were left visibly shaken by the events, with Connie stating David’s ego got bruised so badly “he did the pettiest thing he could.” Even Michael, the man in the centre of the storm said he didn’t think anyone deserved to be on the end of that kind of behaviour.
David ended up walking out of the dinner party, leaving behind a shocked group and an upset Hayley.
“I have confidence in the fact that I have been nothing but a gentleman through this experiment,” he said. “She’s finally shown the true Hayley.”
Most Married at First Sight viewers were left absolutely horrified by the events from the night, from the cheating to the toothbrush scandal:

David: "I haven't done anything wrong in this scenario"….apart from throwing her toothbrush in the toilet which is pretty close to being about the worst thing you can do #MAFS #MAFSAU

I think if David – a 31 year old man – rubs someone’s toothbrush in a toilet he’ll never be mature enough to get married #MAFS

Not the hugest fan of Hayley, but……WHAT KIND OF PERSON GRABS ANOTHER ADULTS TOOTHBRUSH AND RUBS IT IN A TOILET AND THINKS THEIR BEHAVIOUR IS FINE?!?!?!?!? #MAFS

People on here really believing that using someone else’s toothbrush to scrub a toilet is an acceptable response to cheating and not deeply violating and abusive. #MAFS pic.twitter.com/6fwd2ybTZr

Look I’m no fan of Hayley but seriously this happens all too much where the female gets branded the home wrecker and the husband getting off scot free – it literally takes two to cheat. Its so infuriating #MAFS #MAFSAU

Hayley from MAFS actually feel for her – she is actually very real, rough around the edges, but real. #MAFS

This episode is making me sick. Two people did the same shitty thing but Hayley gets slut shamed and Michael is literally praised for it. pic.twitter.com/GDrOwZ7m5a

The producers must just be loving this. But seriously, that thing with the toothbrush, what a low vile act. Not to mention that Hayley could actually have gotten quite ill.#MAFS

Using a toothbrush in a toilet risks serious illness. It is so disproportionate to what she did #MAFS
