Welcome back to another episode of hometown visits on Married at First Sight, and another chance to cringe as Jackson and Olivia go from bad to worse.

Olivia told her husband’s friends that she didn’t sign up for a part-time husband that she’d only see twice a week because of his gym habit — which begs the question: how much does Jackson really go to the gym? (We’ve reached out to Jackson to ask, and will update you if we ever find out.)

In other news: Tamara and Brent seemed to have a lovely time as friends during hometowns week, as did Sam and Al. This would be all beautiful if the show was called Friends at First Sight, but alas it’s not.

Down in Melbourne, Ella fretted about whether she and Mitch would work long-distance and it wasn’t helped when they went to a psychic who sensed trouble in their future.

Thankfully we have Dom and Jack, who make the world’s most adorable family with their dogs. Give Finn his own show.

Let’s unpack last night’s Married at First Sight by taking a look at the best tweets.

Things continue to go well for Jack and Dom on their homestay and at this stage, they are the experiment’s strongest couple.

Mitch and Ella go to a psychic who asks Mitch some deep questions about his dreams to, uh, swim with dolphins. Later the two talk about their long-distance future in a hot tub.

Sam and Al spent some quality time doing the one thing they have in common: going to the beach.

After an awkward dinner with his mum and stepdad, Cody tries to prank Selina by making her dress in a gross bird-watching costume. She finally loses her patience with his lack of depth. They later meet with his uncle who says his biggest life regret was not being able to show the ones he loved how much he loved them.

Things are awkward with the experiments once golden couple Olivia and Jackson. Olivia tells Jackson’s friends that he needs to stop going to the gym so much.

And tonight’s episode… well it looks like it’s going to be a lot.
