Forgive me Father, it has been one day since my last (episode of) Confession(s Week).

But luckily, the dreaded Married at First Sight tasks dedicated to people sharing their deepest, darkest secrets have ended. Wednesday night’s episode saw the final couples complete tasks set out by the experts, ranging from charting their five-year plans, watching the first impressions they had of each other, and ummm… swapping phones.

You know, just normal, non-toxic habits which should be endorsed by our three experts.

Like other seasons, the tasks set off a bunch of drama. But even before that shitshow began, we potentially have a cheating scandal already in the works. Much to discuss! Let’s dive right in!

The final instalment of Confessions Week on Married at First Sight retold in funny tweets:

The episode begins with Jesse filming himself telling a story of what happened on a recent night out which wasn’t filmed for the show. He’s claiming that Claire and Adam are potentially sneaking around together, and he reckons he caught them out… having a phone call. On the night in question, Jesse burst into Adam’s room, demanding to see his phone.

Janelle and Adam have a giggle over how Jesse acted the night before. Claire is also ’embarrassed’ by Jesse’s reaction, she meets with him to demand an apology and tells him to ‘wipe his smug smile off his face’. Oop!

At first, he refuses to apologise “under these circumstances,” and then he decides to move into a different apartment. Boy, bye!

Back to the other couples taking part on Confessions Week, the experts allow the newly married couples to spy at each other’s phone — sounds healthy! Duncan and Alyssa swap phones and thankfully, Alyssa’s phone is filled with praise for her groom. Whereas, Adam decides for Janelle that they won’t be exchanging phones… interesting huh.

Josh reads a letter to Melissa where he shares his heartbreak over sharing custody of his kids with his ex-wife. I am sobbing! Melissa umm… barely reacts to Josh’s touching words, instead reinforcing that she wants lots of sex in a marriage. We know, hun!

Sandy and Dan are asked to construct five-year plans and luckily, they’re in sync. However, Josh and Melissa end up in an argument when she drums home that a “healthy sex life” is all she cares about.

Melissa confronts Josh and tells him that he feels like a roommate. She says she’s scared their relationship is going to get “very boring, very quickly”, and in a confessional, he says he feels like a “disposable sex toy”.

Josh finally breaks. He tells Melissa that sex is her “defining persona” and yep, amen. Josh then asks if she knows anything about him, and Melissa doesn’t even know his job. BIG LOL!
