We did it, we got through it, we survived! Hometowns came to a crashing end on last night’s Married at First Sight as essentially all the remaining couples have imploded.

Well, except the shining light of this experiment: Ollie and Tahnee. Please never break up, you’re literally the glue that holds this entire shitshow together.

But aside from our golden couple, Harrison and Bronte, Melinda and Layton, along with Cam and Lyndall, all look like they’re on the verge of a breakup. Even Rupert and Evelyn appear to be over before they’ve even begun. Grim!

Let us lick our wounds by rehashing the episode via tweets, okay? Okay!

The final homestays episode on Married at First Sight recapped in funny tweets:

It’s time for the final instalment of homestays. Harrison expresses doubts that Bronte would be ready and willing to move away from her home in Perth to be with him in Sydney. Bronte’s sister Kirra joins the couple for dinner which predictably turns into a screaming fight between herself and Harrison.

Kirra accuses Harrison of being a narcissist, gaslighting Bronte and calling her a liar. Drag him, sis!

Ollie has to adjust to Tahnee’s comically tiny studio in Bondi before they enjoy a KFC picnic by the beach. Couple goals right here.

Ollie admits that he wants to be around Tahnee all the time before gifting her a framed photo of himself.

Evelyn is introducing Rupert to her mum when he makes a suss comment about how he ‘needs to be falling in love with someone’ in order to move for them. Evelyn isn’t pleased.

Back up north in Darwin, Lyndall breaks down admitting she’s questioning her relationship more than ever. On their final date together, she asks Cam how he feels about her, and he replies that he doesn’t think he’s good enough for her, or can give her what she needs.

Melinda welcomes Layton to her hometown of Brisbane but they quickly get into a bizarre fight over Layton leaving the cupboard door open. Mel storms off. What the hell is happening?

During a tense picnic date, Layton bring up how emotional Melinda can be, and she replies that she doesn’t feel like he likes her as a person. He gets fired up about how he’s emotionally repressed. Layton storms off.

Melinda and Layton get emotional when discussing whether their relationship can continue despite all their differences. Is this the end? We hope not!
