The Final ‘MAFS’ Intruder Wedding & Honeymoons Recapped In Tweets

Last night we met our final intruder couple joining the Married at First Sight experiment and considering they didn’t even stay together for their whole honeymoon, signs aren’t looking great for them!

Personal trainer Daniel and retail worker Jessica both have one thing in common: they lost a sibling in their formative years. Whether this is enough to build a relationship on or not, they got along for most of their wedding and reception. However, a seemingly innocent comment Jess made about having a potential “real wedding” in the future led to Daniel truly kicking off and leaving mid-convo. Jess later explained she was simply stating that their wedding was obviously not real (or legally binding), so she would want to have a legit wedding with friends, family, and no cameras.

Daniel eventually realised he’d acted irrationally but the rest of the wedding night’s vibes were tense.

And it looks like misery loves company as none of the intruder couples appear to be thriving on their honeymoons. Dion and Carolina imploded when the honesty box led to Carolina getting a little too honest with her new hubby, telling him in a rant she thought was off-camera that women only date him for his money. Meanwhile, Kate stayed largely unresponsive to Matt’s attempts at well… trying to get her to enjoy her own honeymoon.

Thankfully, it’s not all bad. Kate and Matt ended on a positive note after Kate shared that she had never had a relationship or been in love before and Matt responded with kindness. The same can’t be said for how Daniel and Jessica ended their honeymoon, with the couple sleeping in separate rooms following an honesty box-inspired argument where Daniel refused to tell Jess what he would change about her physically… which is ummm apparently a deal-breaker for her??

This show continues to baffle me more and more with every new episode.

We rejoin our recently hitched couples on their honeymoons. Kate is still barely communicating with Matt, who (bless his heart) keeps trying to get her to have some fun with him in the pool.

The other intruder couple aren’t doing much better: during the honesty box task, Carolina told Dion she was not attracted to him yet, before getting nasty claiming that Dion’s exes dated him for his money and not his looks.

Jack and Dom slept separately following their argument at the wedding. They met up the next day and Jack explained that he felt embarrassed by Dom’s cutting remarks about him and she apologised.

It’s time to meet our third and final intruder couple: retail assistant Jessica and personal trainer Daniel. Both have experienced tragedy in their pasts, which I guess means they’re perfectly matched??

The wedding went smoothly but after the reception, Daniel became irritated when Jess made a comment about what she would wear to her “real wedding”. Daniel stormed off, yet when he returned Jess clarified that she meant if they were to get legally married after the experiment. Awkward!

On to their honeymoons, it started out okay as the couple shared stories of their different upbringings while painting.

However, the honesty box then reared its ugly head. Jess chose violence as she asked Daniel what he would change about her physical appearance — but he refused to answer. Things became awkward and Jess left.

The couple slept in separate rooms and later that night, Daniel filmed himself as he could overhear Jess talking on the phone about him. Bring on the dinner party!
