Ivan Has Tried To Clear Up Last Night’s ‘MAFS’ Drama But Tbh We’re Still Confused

If you’re still trying to piece together what exactly happened on Married at First Sight last night, you’re not the only one.

Ivan and Aleks were one of the show’s most stable couples, but after the grooms’ hometown visits, Aleks revealed that while she loves Ivan she’s not in love with him and currently has him in the friendzone.

Things came to a head at the dinner party last night when Michael and Josh started laying into Aleks about being intimate with Ivan. As we all know, intimate is usually the codeword for sex on this show.

Aleks denied having sex with Ivan, saying that when she’s talked about their intimacy she’s only ever meant pashing. Ivan told the guys to stop confronting Aleks, only to have them turn around on him and say that Ivan set up the whole thing.

Confused? Same.

Ivan and Aleks appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning with Aleks dialled in from WA, and Ivan also made a solo appearance on Fitzy & Wippa to talk through what exactly happened. Here’s what we learned:

1. Ivan said the whole dinner party shambles was “misconstrued”.

“First and foremost, one thing I want to address was there was absolutely no truth to Aleks’ cheating allegations whatsoever,” he said on Kyle and Jackie O. Aleks went on to say the guy with the Ferrari is a friend of Natasha’s, and the only reason Mishel and Aleks were getting any attention at this Serbian event they went to was because Mishel told everyone they were MAFS participants.

2. Aleks said previous footage of her not coping on the show had been cut out.

Aleks said there had been times she’d broken down on the couch because the environment was so toxic. “I needed to look after my mental health before any fucking TV show,” she said.

3. Ivan said he did have a conversation with Josh asking him to back him up, but not about sex.

Apparently both Ivan and Aleks had talked to Josh about their relationship, and Ivan asked Josh to back him up if people were questioning if Aleks had ever been attracted to him. Ivan also said Josh was manipulated by the whole situation as it grew out of control. “I’m sure you’ll find he’ll admit that,” Ivan said.

4. And for some reason, Mishel went on a podcast and said Aleks and Ivan did have sex and there’s probably footage of it.

Are these MAFS contestants OK? Seeeriously?
