A Bunch Of Jesse’s Instagram Posts Contradict His Ick List On ‘MAFS’
Jesse from Married at First Sight has been making waves across the nation for his massive list of turn-offs.
We were first introduced to Jesse’s during the promos for this year’s MAFS, when he read out a bunch of things that give him the ick, including motivational quotes, women who are “vanilla” and addicted to their phones, plus many, many more.

Jesse’s pickiness with women was addressed last week by the experts, but the list followed him into his marriage with Claire.
In Thursday’s episode, Jesse revealed his ick list to Claire, mentioning an interest in star signs as a major turn-off, even though Claire has made it clear that astrology is something she’s passionate about. Their honeymoon went into full chaos mode when Jesse mocked Claire, causing her to leave their Whitsundays getaway.
Jesse’s massive ick list seems rather extra. I mean, you can’t be THAT picky, right?
Well, we did some research into our fussiest groom yet, and we found some pretty damning evidence that suggests that a bunch of this man’s icks are something he’s guilty of doing himself.
After sleuthing around the Married at First Sight groom’s socials, a bunch of Jesse’s icks seem rather suss.
1. “Gym Photos”

In episode two, before he gets married, Jesse runs through his turn-off list. “Gym photos” are one that lands on his naughty list, but is this really something Jesse would never do?
While not strictly taken at the gym, Jesse is no stranger to agreeing to have his fitness journey posted on social media. In an Instagram Reel, Jesse shared the above progression pics as a highlight of his year.

2. “Chicks who pout”

In episode two, alongside gym photos, Jesse revealed that he finds “chicks who pout” an ick, but there’s photo evidence of Jesse pouting himself. It’s giving blue steel by Derek Zoolander.

3. “Chicks who are always talking”

Before his wedding, Jesse said that “chicks who are always talking” turn him off. The man is literally an MC and marriage celebrant. Talking is what keeps the lights on at Jesse’s house — maybe the man just loves the sound of his own voice.
4. “Someone who is obsessed with social media”

Well, well, well. Jesse should reaaaalllly take a look at his digital footprint because being social media obsessed is something he knows a lot about.
Jesse has a bunch of social media accounts, including LinkedIn, TikTok (now deleted), Instagram, and Facebook. He also has a StarNow profile and Flatmates account if you count those as social media.
Maybe Jesse needs to retrace his steps and delete those before saying social media obsessed women are a turn-off. Also, doesn’t his job need social media to thrive?
So is the ick list legit?
No tea and no shade at Jesse, but it does feel like his ick list may be exaggerated. Everyone has their preferences and their turn-offs, but Jesse really takes it to the extreme.
Maybe the icks on the ick list are just projections about himself. Big sad!
