YAAAS: John From Last Year’s ‘Married At First Sight’ Is Returning To The Show In 2018

As if we couldn’t be any more psyched for this year’s season of Married at First Sight, it turns out our fave bloke from last year is getting another chance at love.

Remember the groom that failed his bride because he was NOT Polynesian? Poor ol’ John was paired with the ridiculously hard to please Deborah, and let’s just say it didn’t end in a lifetime of bliss.

Instead, John exited the show early after he had enough of being married to a stranger that didn’t seem to like anything about him and reminded him of that frequently.

But wait, John is back and he’s even made an appearance in MAFS latest promo.

“Australia’s favourite groom is back for a second chance at love,” says the voiceover.

While we’ve already met the 20 contestants walking down the aisle, John wasn’t on the list. So it’s unknown if there’s still a mystery woman waiting to be matched with the father of two.

John told TheFIX he’s excited to get another shot at reality TV love.

“I thought I’d get one shot at it, and that’s it,” he said. “I’m lucky enough to have another chance, and I’m very much looking forward to having another go at finding love.”

“I filled out the same questionnaires, so psychologically everything was the same… And, no, I didn’t put any conditions on it… I didn’t mention the word ‘Polynesian’.”

Who knows what Channel Nine have in store but we’re thrilled Johnny-boy is back for another crack!
