From the second Russell Duance appeared on Married at First Sight, fans noted that he looked an awful lot like Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews: a public figure Melburnians know far too well, due to the almost daily press conferences he held throughout the pandemic.
Russell’s likeness to Andrews is unmistakable and the memes are almost too easy.

The Premier himself has even commented on his reality TV doppelgänger. In an interview on the Fifi, Fev and Nick radio show he said that his lookalike “has been drawn to my attention.” He added, “The gentlemen in question has my deepest sympathies. To have to wander around looking like me — and having people compare you — that’s a tough gig.”
And clearly, Russell is aware of people comparing him to Andrews as well, as he’s performed a cover of Mashd N Kutcher’s iconic anthem ‘Get On The Beers’, which So Dramatic! posted this week on Instagram.
Not to overstate this, but, it’s the best thing I’ve watched all week…nay, all year.
