Ex ‘MAFS’ Contestant Ryan Confirms He’s Been Approached For A ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Style Spin-Off
While we were sleeping, a rather delicious rumour started over the possibility of a Married at First Sight spin-off, bringing together past contestants on a tropical island Bachelor In Paradise style.
According to the Daily Mail, there are talks for the series to bring back some of its more memorable contestants for a local version of a spin-off show that already exists in the U.S. called MAFS: Honeymoon Island.
Sounds fake but OK.
The publication is reporting that both Ines Basic and Dino Hira have been approached to join the line-up. In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O, 2018 contestant Ryan Gallagher confirmed the rumour that such a series is in the works and revealed he had been approached.
“Yeah, I got sent a thing last night,” Ryan told the radio hosts, adding “I haven’t been actually formally asked.”
This suggests that at the very least the spin-off is shopping around for contestants. Ryan tried to laugh off the whole thing saying “I don’t think it’s going to happen. No one wants to see us with our shirts off. We’re not Love Island people.”
I mean, has he seen Martha in a swimsuit? Considering the bonkers ratings this year’s MAFS has drawn, this show could definitely happen.
Do we really need another reality dating show? Probably no. Will I still watch the shit out of it? Hell yes.
