Martha Went Bonkers After Her Mum Pranked Her Into Believing Michael Bought An Ugly Engagement Ring
Martha Kalifatidis has been majorly duped by her mum, Mary, on the ‘Only Lying’ segment on the Kyle and Jackie O show.
The radio segment followed Martha previously pranking her mum, calling her live-on-air and leading Mary to believe she had crashed her car. Keen for payback, Mary phoned her daughter on Tuesday’s show to warn her that her boyfriend Michael Brunelli’s planned engagement ring was “ugly”.
“Michael wants to propose to you and he showed me a photo of the ring,” Mary told Martha, who cut in asking, “Is it big?” To this, Mary said, “It’s just ugly, it’s a vintage, Victorian-style ring…it looks like it’s from a second-hand shop, Martha.” Martha was not impressed!”Why would he think Victorian? It’s me, I’m so f*cking chic!” Martha ranted, adding, “Unless he got it from eBay or something, I’ll die! Oh my God, if it’s from Etsy I’ll die!”
She went on to rant that, “I don’t understand what type of Dodo people I have around me?” At this point, Kyle and Jackie interrupted to reveal that Martha was being pranked. Martha hit back, “I thought you guys were my friends? I don’t need this stress!”
It was all very funny. Michael, my man, you prob need to start saving for a ring that will satisfy Martha’s sky-high standards.
