There are few certainties in this world: death, taxes and Laura Sharrad cooking pasta on MasterChef.

The MasterChef competition is getting more hectic every day, and as most of the contestants bring their A-game and step up their cooking each week, Laura has continued to serve up pasta dish after pasta dish — and the judges don’t seem fazed one bit.

On last night’s episode, viewers finally cracked. Laura, along with her team from Monday night’s challenge, were sent into a pressure test: an elimination challenge that traditionally serves up some of the most technical and complex dishes the show has ever seen. For this specific pressure test, contestants could bring their own recipes and create their own dish.

Poh Ling Yeow did what she does best, trying to bend time making a pie that usually takes several hours, and most of the contestants pushed themselves out of their comfort zones. Amina Elshafei put more effort into presentation, rather than her typical homestyle plating. Hayden tried his hand at doing a delicate-looking dessert for once. But what did Laura do to wow the judges? Pasta. And the judges loved it.

Considering this was a challenge where contestants were supposed to push themselves to create something extra special, Laura cooking pasta again wasn’t exactly thrilling. But like previous episodes, the judges didn’t have a bad word to say about it. This was frustrating to watch, as the judges often criticise contestants when they play it too safe.

I’m sure dessert king Reynold could happily serve up fire desserts every episode, but he often cooks savoury just to keep the judges on their toes.

Laura has previously been called out for receiving favouritism on the show, due to her relationship with judge Jock Zonfrillo, and this is just another example of the pasta bar owner being held to a different standard.

People on Twitter are taking the piss out of the judges not caring that Laura cooks nothing but pasta on ‘Masterchef’:

Here’s hoping that on the next challenge Laura brings something new to the table, or Twitter will no doubt roast her even harder than a hibachi grill.
