Through a mixture of keeping up with current meme trends mixed with the world’s eternal love for GB, the page has created the perfect form of tasty humour.

We got chatting with one of the admins behind the page.

Although their answers were pretty short, sharp and to the point, it’s nevertheless a chance for us to celebrate garlic bread through memes – so we’ve jam packed stacks of ’em below.

How long have you been running Garlic Bread Memes?

I’ve been part of the page since January of 2016.

I originally joined as a mod to answer messages and now I’m one of the senior staff members.

I love that you have started creating garlic bread merch! Do people actually buy it?

Yes. People have ordered quite a bit of merchandise and we make a decent profit from it.

You have reached over 550K  likes – did you ever think the page would come this far? And what are the plans for the future?

When I joined up, the page was just below 200k likes. Most of us assumed that was our peak.

The original founder was surprised when he got over 500 likes.

All of us are so proud of how far this page has come.

Can you quickly explain the rivalry between garlic bread and banana bread?

It’s based on Banana bread not being a bread but actually a form of cake.

But it’s still inferior regardless because it just doesn’t compare.

What’s your most popular Garlic Bread Meme, and what is your personal Favourite?

Our most popular meme as far as I’m aware is a photo of dancing Winnie the Pooh with music with the caption “when your garlic bread comes out of the oven” or something similar.

For me, my personal favourite is of course the legendary ‘gender meme’.

Are there any other meme pages you could recommend?

Young Thugga La Meme, Young Thugga La Meme Season 2, Best of Wholesome memes, Spongepants Squarebob – all are great.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy garlicy lyf to chat with Punkee.
