The healthy rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne is set to intensify, with a new tourist attraction to begin operation at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

According to 3AW, Melbourne is upping the ante against Sydney in sky-high thrills with a tourist walk planned for above the MCG set to rival the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb.

Thrill seekers will be able to soak in the city views, the Melbourne sporting precinct and the surrounds of the stadium from a height of over 70m.

There are also plans to include a flippin’ zip-line flying fox across the stadium… dope!

It’s expected that $3 million will be invested into construction by both the Victorian and Federal Government. The construction is expected to take a year, however the final design is yet to be unveiled.
