Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium Is Being Renamed ‘Marvel’, Yes You Read That Correctly

In today’s strange but very real news, Melbourne’s Etihad stadium is being renamed Marvel stadium as of September 1 this year, thanks to a new Disney sponsorship deal.

The stadium will undergo a $225 million upgrade as part of the deal and will include a Marvel retail store as well as other ~activations~ to increase fan engagement.

The Disney deal has been locked in for eight-years, so we have a bit of time to get used to Marvel stadium before it becomes something completely different once again.
