Melbourne Mural Appears Of Lindsay Lohan Eating A Kebab, As The Actress Possibly Converts To Islam
Rumours started circulating this week that actress and one-time singer Lindsay Lohan was converting to Islam. This was the confounding assumption after Lohan changed her Instagram bio to read “Alaikum salam,” which translates to an Arabic greeting that means “and unto you peace.”
The actress also deleted all of her Instagram posts. It’s a far cry from the Mean Girls actress swearing by the Quran – but certain sections the media still ran with the story that Lohan had converted her faith.
Now infamous Aussie street artist Lushsux has encapsulated the entire ordeal in paint, with a mural erected in Melbourne of the actress donning a headscarf and chowing down on…a kebab. Naturally.
It’s the perfect first meal for Lohan, as she starts her new life. The controversy magnet that first gained notoriety for their Kim Kardashian naked selfie mural, explained the background for his/her work:
“My inspiration for the mural was the reports that Lindsay Lohan had deleted her social media presence and converted to Islam,” they said.
“Thought I’d celebrate that with a mural of Ms. Lohan eating a nice big kebab. No allusions to a phallic object were intended just to clear that up.”
The artist had spoken with the owners of the wall on the new work.
“I had a nice conversation with the muslim family that let me paint their wall, they loved the idea and had emailed me asking to paint it. It’s just for a bit of cheeky fun,” lushsux said.
The artwork is certainly a conversation starter, and it makes me want to demolish a juicy kebab asap.
