Viewers Have Slated ‘Million Dollar Island’ After The Underwhelming Finale
Channel Seven’s flashiest reality show Million Dollar Island has finally wrapped up, and we’re low-key relieved that it’s over. The bizarre format, where 100 contestants competed for a share of a million dollars, actually ended up being the 190,000 Dollar Island. Yep, that’s right, nobody walked away with a million dollars.
Wasn’t that the entire point of the show? So why did the contestants have to wear bracelets that represented $10,000 on their wrist, when it essentially came down to a lil bit of gambling? Ugh, what a waste of the contestants’ (and our) time!
In the end, only Chelsea, Brett and Jordan went home with some cash. Chelsea pocketed a tidy $110,000, Jordan managed to win $70,000 and Brett got rewarded with a measly $10,000.
It seems like we’re not the only ones feeling ripped off, because people have been taking their grievances straight to Twitter.
