Nando’s Are Giving Healthcare & Emergency Workers Half-Priced Takeaway During The Pandemic
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, every small act of kindness counts and our delicious chicken heroes Nando’s are offering up discounts to Australia’s healthcare and emergency service staff as a gesture of gratitude for all their hard work.
Nando’s is currently giving 50% off any takeaway orders for staff who are working on the front line of the COVID-19 crisis. To score the deal, eligible healthcare and emergency service workers just need to rock up to any Nando’s restaurant in uniform, or show their pre-approved healthcare or emergency services industry photo identification card, or prove they are registered with AHPRA with accompanying photo ID.
“This is a really tough time for all Aussies,” Nando’s spokesperson Helen Reece said in a statement. “Nando’s has a workforce of over 2,000 staff who want to help and this is great way for Nando’s and it’s employees to acknowledge the amazing efforts of our healthcare and emergency services industry workers during this time.
“Our teams see both the exhaustion and gratitude on the faces of these workers when they come into our restaurants and order. Whether it’s fuelling them during their work break or bringing their family together for a meal after shift, we’re just happy to be doing our bit to make their day easier.”
Along with the 50% off promo, Nando’s have also launched a Pay It Forward campaign: a scheme which will allow its PERi-Perks loyalty program members to redeem their rewards points for a voucher, so that they can pass it along to a friend or family member who might be doing it tough.
The 50% discount for healthcare and emergency service workers is only available for dine-away orders and ends on the 1st May, 2020.
