HOLY EMOJI: Apple Has Previewed 70 New Emojis For International Emoji Day
In a world where there’s an international holiday for melons, garlic bread and, ah, just about everything else, it’s International Emoji Day, y’all!
And yesterday – ahead of the very important and totally legit celebration – Apple previewed some of its 70 new emojis that will soon be making their way into your devices.
While you’ll have to wait until the new iOS update later this year to start using the new emojis, it’s sure to be worth the wait, with a whole bunch of little dudes you can appropriate into nasty ways to thirst over your crush via text.
I’m looking at you, eggplant emoji.
Apple announced 70 new emojis coming later this year, including:
▪️ curly hair
▪️ kangaroo
▪️ red hair
▪️ peacock
▪️ cupcake
▪️ mango
▪️ superheroes ? pic.twitter.com/jS7nxCG2Nx— AJ+ (@ajplus) July 16, 2018
So what kind of emojis can we expect from the new update? Well there’s a bald emoji for when you’re feeling a little bit Britney circa 2007, a redhead emoji (finally a win for all the rangas out there) and grey-haired peeps.
There’s also a bunch of animals, including a kangaroo, parrot and lobster. Oh and there’s of course some new foods for you to turn into something grossly sexual I bet, like lettuce, mango and cupcakes.
No word on when exactly you can start using the new emojis, so stay tuned for more deets.
