You beauty! Australia’s own Nicole Kidman has taken home the award for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in a limited series or movie made for television at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.

She scored the award for her pivotal role in HBO’s hugely popular series Big Little Lies which shone a light on domestic violence. Oh boy, does she deserve it.

When collecting her statue, Kidman took the opportunity to send a message to an evolving Hollywood still feeling the fallout of the sexual assault accusations currently sweeping the industry.

“I do believe and I hope we can elicit change through the stories we tell and the way we tell them. Let’s keep the conversation alive. Let’s do it.”

She went on to dedicate her award to the women she shared the small screen with. Talking about her co-star Reese Witherspoon, she went on to say:

“We did this because of our friendship, our creative union and our support of each other. And I love you,”

“Laura Dern, Shailene, Zoe ~ we sat at a table and pledged allegiance to each other and commitment to each other and this is ours to share. Wow, the power of women.”
