OH NO: Mischa Barton Has Been Hospitalised For Mental Health Issues
OC star Mischa Barton has been taken to hospital for “mental evaluation” after neighbours watched her acting strangely in her backyard.
According to Hollywood gossip sight TMZ, Barton was hanging over her backyard fence in West Hollywood and rambling about her mum being a witch, the world shattering … and Ziggy Stardust. She was also photographed by the celebrity site falling off her garden fence, after she shouted: “‘Oh my God, it’s over! I feel it, and it’s angry.'”
Sources also said she was only wearing a dress shirt and tie at the time.
Emergency services were informed of a potential overdose or someone attempting self-harm. The 31-year-old star was then voluntarily taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. An L.A. County Sheriff’s Department spokesman confirmed that the actress had been transported to hospital after responding to a disturbance call.
Barton, who just celebrated her 31st birthday on Tuesday, has a long history of mental health issues – in 2009 she was placed under psychiatric care for depression. We really hope she’s okay!
