Kyrgios & Tomic Issued Official Behaviour Warning: Will Be Sent Home From The Olympics If They Don’t Play Nice

When it comes to the “bad boys” of sport, Australia has certainly had a few. From swimmers Kenrick Monk and Nick D’Arcy posing with automatic firearms to Daniel Connors and Ben Cousins getting in a punch on… to… well half of our sports stars to be entirely honest.

But when it comes to the Rio Olympics, enough is enough.

Tennis Australia has been warned by the Australian Olympic Committee that Bernard Tomic and Nick Kyrgios need to pull their heads in and behave during the games. Their message is clear, shut-up or pack-up.

The warning was supposedly sparked by a twitter feud and on court feuds between the two players during the Davis Cup. Kyrgios was accused by Tomic of faking an illness and Kyrgios took to twitter to hit back at his team mate. The tweets have since been deleted and replaced by this little gem to show peace between the two players.

Caaaa-ute.

Australia’s Olympic Chef de Mission Kitty Chiller (are you freaking kidding me – best name ever!) was fairly strict when she announced she wasn’t afraid of sending anyone home due to bad behaviour:

“When push comes to shove, I won’t be afraid to discipline someone if they are not adhering to the standard we expect… I will be sending people home if they don’t respect what they are part of.”

The boys better be on their best behaviour online and while they’re out in the world. Both have had run -ins with authorities, Tennis Australia and other players in the past. This includeswhen Kyrgios had a go at Stanislav Wawrinka‘s partner. Chances are, these Olympics are going to be very entertaining even if they do happen to hold it together and play nice.

Oh, and someone remind Kyrgios that just because you delete it from Twitter, doesn’t mean the internet forgets.
