Paddy Said He’d Definitely Be Up For ‘Bachelor In Paradise’
Ali bid farewell to another two suitors on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, leaving just six men remaining.
While we didn’t see a whole lot of Dan, we will remember him as the man who brought a baby lamb to his first meeting with Ali, and also as the man that accidentally whacked her in the head during a dance group date.
We also said goodbye to Paddy last night, who was one of the biggest characters on the show. From his loud proclamations of Ali being “F-I-T” to his beef with Nathan and Bill, Paddy was definitely not a quiet wallflower.
We chatted to Paddy about his time on the show and our boy dished the dirt.
On watching the show back:
“So the first episode was horrendous to watch, my parents nearly disowned me. But as time progressed and the show unfolded then I think the true Paddy started to show, a cheeky larrikin but there’s a sweet, genuine side to me as well.”
On who is getting a rough edit:
“I reckon Charlie is a bit misunderstood. He’s very opinionated, confident, but he felt the connection with Ali and had to sit back and watch all the other boys and I think he just built up a lot of emotion and frustration.”
On the tension between Charlie and Bill:
“Bill was definitely stirring Charlie up. He knew exactly what he was doing. They had tension, I think there’s always going to be tension. We saw they tried to sort it out but the shit hit the fan again.”
On his own connection with Ali:
“I chatted with Ali every cocktail night and we had really good chats. I questioned her, I said ‘Ali why am I still here?’ and she said I was cheeky and funny and she wanted to see my emotional side. She kept feeding me all this stuff, but it got to the point where actions speak louder than words. By the end of it, I was just over it.”
On the doomsday challenge:
“The doomsday challenge actually was very intense, it was very competitive, we had to protect our nests! I think a few punches got thrown, it did get pretty heated, but on TV it was probably a little bit blown out of proportion.”
On his favourite moment on the show:
“I’ve never cried so hard in my life when Ivan blended the avocado. I Facetimed him while I was watching it, it was hilarious. When he opened the blender and rearranged the avocados and put the lid back on… oh man. Apparently, it went on for like 20 minutes. How could they even FILM that without laughing?”
On the best date:
“I think the best date was the music video. There was no drama, no arguing, everyone just had a good time. It was unfortunate I didn’t get the extra time, let’s be honest Daniel was having fun but he was also shagging a crocodile. Everyone was surprised he got that time, he was even silent in the house.
“His date was cringeworthy, hey. I felt sorry for the bloke, he said nothing the whole episode and goes on this date and… OH MY GOD, yes he said his sister sweats a lot. I bet his sister feels good about herself!”
On doing Bachelor In Paradise:
“Is The Pope Catholic? Does a bear shit in the woods? I probably shouldn’t say that.”
On what he’d do differently in Paradise:
“I’d show a different side to me. Different sides to me did come out on the show, but there was a lot more to it. I’d be myself but I’d probably tell them to hide the red wine! But I’d probably show a more genuine side to myself.”
On who Ali will end up with it:
“It’s hard because Ali just called me and said she misses me. Nah, I would like to see Taite take it out but I’d like to see him win if he had a connection with her.”
