People Are Worried About Matthew Perry’s Health After This ‘Strange’ Interview
After breaking the hearts of every Friends fan around the globe by snubbing an appearance in a reunion episode, Matthew Perry has people concerned for his health after a weird TV interview over the weekend.
46-year-old Perry – who played Chandler Bing in the sitcom phenomenon – appeared on The Graham Norton Show to chew the fat about his current projects. He also talked about how he won’t be appearing on the Friends reunion with his former flatmates Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer.
But what really had people talking was the manner in which Perry carried himself in the interview. Slurring his words and odd facial expressions saw viewers take to social media to react in shock and concern.
Is it just me or is Matthew Perry really slurring his words on The Graham Norton show? #Friends #MatthewPerry #GrahamNorton

My theory is a man-sized goose has disguised himself as Matthew Perry and gone on #GrahamNorton for nefarious goose-related reasons.

Is it just me? Is there something peculiar going on with Matthew Perry's mouth? #GrahamNorton

Here’s the interview in question:
With an alleged history of drug and alcohol abuse, there’s no doubt that a relapse of his old habits had crossed the mind of his fans. It could just simply come down to the fact that he’s bloody knackered from being a busy man at the moment. Perry is currently performing on The West End in London, in play titled ‘The End of Longing’.
Or hey, maybe he’s just trying to covertly tell us something similarly to this scene of Friends ‘perfection’?
Perry won’t leave London to re-acquaint with his fellow Friends co-stars, hosing down suggestions that he’s turned his back on a legitimate reunion and claiming that it’s just a tribute to former director, Jim Burrows.
“It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for. They are celebrating Jim Burrows who was a director of Friends… The other five are going to be on this special and I am going to introduce them from London. I’m doing the play here so I can’t be there.”
