PERVE: People In Belarus Are Posting Photos Of Themselves Naked At Work After The President Accidentally Demanded It
The fine looking citizens of Belarus are posting photos of themselves naked at work after their dictator President had an embarrassing slip of the tongue.
During a speech on new technology, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko innocently mixed up his words and the gaffe didn’t go unnoticed on social media.
The President was trying to tell Belarusian citizens that they needed to invest their time in developing their skills in information and technology. However, the phrase he used to say ‘develop yourself‘ is very similar to ‘undress yourself‘ in Russian (at least, so we’re told).
Effectively, his speech to the country said:
“Innovations, IT-technologies, privatisation — it is all clear. We’ve conquered all of them. But everything is very simply, one should get undressed and work,”
Without hesitation, workers across the country jumped on the Freudian slip, creating a new social media phenomena around the country. Over the past week, people have been stripping down with their co-workers in the office and sharing the results on social media. In a defiant display of following their rulers demands, it also seems to have been a pretty interesting team-building experiment.
