Punkee Takes On Spilt Milk Festival As Thousands Merge On Our Nation’s Capital
Canberra’s sold out Spilt Milk Festival was huge, hot and packed full of killer acts. What a day.
The Punkee team headed to our nation’s capital to take on the mega music festival along with 25,000 other punters. We had a VIP peek at the fezzie with Georgia Quinn, the winner of our social media competition we ran with Fanta. You might have seen Georgia taking us around the Spilt Milk grounds on Punkee’s Instagram and getting amongst the action.
The day kicked off for us with a set by Mallrat, a young soon-to-be-superstar who gave an awesome performance. She had an impressive crowd flocking to her set, especially for an early act from such a new artist. She bloody killed it.
The highlights of the day were definitely boogying to San Cisco who never disappoints, getting lost in the musical trance of Tash Sultana’s set, good ol’ Vance Joy, and of course the queen and headlining act Lorde. Lorde played for nearly an hour serving up all of our favourite tunes from both of her undeniably perfect albums. She closed the night with ‘Green Light‘ (of course) and it was truly brilliant.
