The Real Housewives of Melbourne is nearing the end of its season, but thankfully theoff-screen drama is only just beginning.

During last night’s episode, some of the ladies took to social media to throw some extra sledges at each other. The drama began as the women attended the recording of Jackie Gillies’ new podcast Shine It Up. Kyla Kirkpatrick and Cherry Dipietrantonio weren’t thrilled to have to sit through the podcast taping and, in their defence, it did go for three hours. But then things got nasty, as Cherry made a disgusting dig at Janet Roach when she was posing for a photos, muttering “That’s not a skinny arm, Janet”.

Big yikes.

As Kyla and Cherry continued to make bitchy comments about how Janet looked, Gamble Breaux was sitting beside them, listening intently to later relay the conversation back to Jackie and Janet.

Here’s a sample of what was said:

At one stage during Jackie’s recording, it looks like Cherry had actually fallen asleep. As the incomparable Lydia Schiavello would say: “Nasty pasty!”.

As last night’s episode aired, the show’s stars took to social media to respond to the uncomfortable scene. Jackie labelled Cherry and Kyla as “rude and disrespectful” and tweeted that she was especially disappointed as she had supported both women at their events.

Janet took a much more direct approach, simply calling them both “assholes”.

Housewives newbie Simone Elliott came to Janet’s defence in light of Cherry’s body-shaming comment. She tweeted that “attacking another woman on her appearance is uncalled for and a low blow.” Amen sister.

Cherry then entered the ring and umm… I don’t really understand her defence. She said her comment was in reference to how Janet was posing and there was “No need to create issues that simply aren’t there”.

Cherry added that during her wellness day, Janet, Jackie, and Gamble were talking during her yoga class. I guess that’s the same?!

Cherry also posted to her Instagram labelling the whole drama as “double standards”. Kyla agreed with Cherry, commenting on the post, “What a load of bullocks”.

But again, I must invoke the spirit of Lydia here.

Two wrongs don’t make a right, or maybe two rights don’t make it wrong — something like that!

Kyla and Cherry have found themselves clashing with the rest of the women all season, but most fans of the series have sided firmly with Jackie and Janet this time around.

The final episode of The Real Housewives of Melbourne kicks off Sunday at 8:30pm on Foxtel and Binge.
