This is one movie reboot we can all get around. A deal is reportedly being finalised for Legally Blonde 3, with production house MGM getting ready to sign on Reese Witherspoon to reprise her role as Elle Woods. Yaaass!!

Deadline is reporting that the third film will return to its roots, with OG screenwriters Kirsten ‘Kiwi’ Smith and Karen McCullah in final talks to write the script, while original producers Marc Platt and Adam Siegel are also rumoured to be on board. The gang’s all here!
It sounds like the storyline will be inspired by the first film, and possibly pretend the sequel never happened. Get ready to bend and snap all over again!
While Reese has previously been hesitant to confirm that a third film was happening, she did say in a Facebook Live Q&A back in 2016 that the time was right for Elle Woods to make a comeback.
“We’ve thought about it. I need somebody really clever to come up with a great idea and we’ll do it. I do think it’s a good time to do it—I think women need that kind of positivity right now,” she told E! News.
