Ralph’s Internet Round-Up: Disney Tweets That We Relate To On A Spiritual Level

Brought to you by Ralph Breaks The Internet

See it in Cinemas Boxing Day.

It’s Disney’s world, and we’re all just living in it, honestly. Or at least, living on the internet, and talking about Disney, 24/7.

Aren’t we all, at the end of the day, just Ralphs and Vanellopes, exploring the craziest parts of the Disney-related content that makes up approximately 71% of the internet? With that in mind, we rounded up some of your best Disney tweets ever:

#1 Move Over Kids – This Movie Is For Us

Yeah, I mean, I get that these new kids want to watch Disney movies, and honestly – the more the merrier. But, there really is a part of all of us that thinks that WE are the Disney generation, and therefore it is COMPLETELY OKAY to get EXTREMELY EXCITED whenever a new movie comes out. Who cares about grown-up horror movies or rom-coms when you can have a bunch of cartoons learning life lessons?

#2 Sometimes – Okay, Most Times – You End Up Crying

You think that you’re an adult, beyond the reach of the Disney-induced tears, but you could not be more wrong. It’s so easy to start a film as though it’s a light, happy, time-filler, but get to the end and suddenly you’re weeping over the TRUE BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP.

#3 The Characters Are Somehow Heroic – And Dorky – Every Time

You can have a courageous princess…who just wants to build a snowman. You can have a talented mermaid…who combs her hair with a goddamn FORK. Disney shows us that you can be a bold warrior, and, um, still pull that face.

#5 The Feels When You Return To A Timeless Classic

Nostalgia is one reason that we find our adult selves coming back to Disney, year after year. One good example is when we all crowded every cinema for the return of The Incredibles – didn’t we all have to find out exactly what happened to Violet and what powers Jack-Jack had? Or when Finding Dory had us all pushing to the front of the line so we could watch our favourite Ellen Degeneres-voiced fish?

#6 God I Wish That Were Me

Name an onscreen friendship more wholesome than Ralph and Vanellope’s – I’ll wait. Disney is all about the power of friendship, but this time they’ve done such a good job I’m jealous I don’t have a giant video game man to call my own best friend.

#7 At The End Of The Day, We Are All Kids At Heart

Whether it’s gathering all your mates to re-watch and sing along to The Little Mermaid or ticking the once-in-a-lifetime Disneyland trip off your bucket list – there is always space for Disney in your busy adult life. And with more and more new stories fitting into the Disneyverse, we’ll be watching, laughing and crying for years to come.
