Here’s The Top 15 Highest Paid Artists Of 2015, Ranked In GIFs
The annual Forbes ‘lists’ give us all a chance to scoff at the huge divide between us regular folk and the celebrities that exist as BFF’s in our own imagination. Today they’ve released the rankings of the highest paid musicians of 2015 and it’s filled with plenty of big numbers we can only dream about.
To create the list, Forbes looked at pre-tax income between June 2014-June 2015 from gigs, record sales, publishing, endorsements and other business ventures. Their final numbers don’t include fees for managers, agents and lawyers.
Turns out, Katy Perry tops the lot with a staggering $135m this year before tax. The dollars mainly flow from her live performances on the ‘Prismatic’ world tour, deals with Coty, Claire’s and Covergirl as well as a new Perry-themed mobile game that launched mid-year. Katie and One Direction were the only two artists to break smash into the 9 (yes, nine) figure digits.
With an annual wealth of $1,095,000,000, read’em and weep… here’s the top 15 richest musicians in 2015, celebrated in gif (of course).
