It’s been a long time coming – but at last we have a release date for the highly anticipated return of Rick and Morty season 3!

After a giant wait, we can now relax knowing that the cult animation will return via Adult Swim on Sunday, July 30.

The news was confirmed via a Facebook trailer which people are rightly losing their minds with excitement over – so before we go on – please enjoy:

Ever since the first episode of the season titled ‘The Rickshank Redemption’ premiered via a live stream on April Fool’s Day, fans have been desperately clinging to ever shred of information about the third season’s continuation. The delays have caused a whole heap of rumours to sweep the internet, including creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon having a falling out.

This even forced Harmon to address fans via Twitter to explain why the wait between seasons has been so long. The long thread begins: “A hungover thread where I address Rick and Morty devotees because I feel bad for any fan worrying about any show-threatening issue.”

Now that we have the release date, we can now all sigh in relief, take a big deep breath and being the longest four weeks ever. July 30, put in your diaries now!
