RIP: Australian Music & Theatre Rock Royalty Jon English Has Passed Away
He made the role of Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar what he is today. He took the role of the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance to new and unknown heights.
Much loved singer-songwriter Jon English passed away overnight due to complications from surgery – at the age of 66 years old. English died surrounded by family, including his four children Jessamin, Josephine, Jonnie and Julian, and his wife Carmen.
The Logie Award winning performer starred in role in Australian TV series Against the Wind and All Together Now.
His teach released a statement via his Facebook page this morning to confirm the news:

Tributes have been flowing this morning as the Australian music industry come to grips with the loss. Among them was his former cast member on ‘All Together Now’ and current today show host, Stevie Jacobs.
