RIP: Here’s How Hollywood Is Reacting To Bill Paxton Passing Away At 61
Hollywood actor and director Bill Paxton died suddenly overnight at the age of 61 due to surgery complications. Known for his roles in Aliens, Apollo 13, Twister and Titanic, Paxton was a much-loved personality in tinsel town.
The actor’s family released a statement confirming the sad news and highlighting the love he shared for his craft. It reads:
“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery, Paxton’s family said in a statement.
“A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”
It’s a sombre note in the lead-up to the Academy Awards which kick off in LA in a matter of hours. Celebrities are flooding twitter with tributes which highlight what a great bloke Paxton was.
